Nicky Law's number two Chris Dowhan is set to remain on City's coaching staff.
New boss Colin Todd has confirmed that Dowhan is staying on. He is likely to carry on in a role with the youth development side.
But fitness coach John Roe has become the latest casualty of the financial cuts imposed by administration.
Dowhan, who unearthed Simon Francis and brought him to Valley Parade, was promoted to assistant boss under Law, and Todd is prepared to work with a coach from a previous regime.
He said: "Chris and John Pepper are still here and the likelihood is that they will continue. They know what it is all about at the youth level.
"We need continuity in our position, that's why I've had to do what I've had to do. Unfortunately the situation with John Roe was taken out of my hands."
Todd is backing Bobby Davison to adapt well to his role as second in command.
He added: "I'm happy for Bobby to work alongside me and gain experience for whatever might happen. I've seen Bobby on the training ground and he's done a good job with the kids. Now I think he is ready to work alongside myself with the senior pros.
"Obviously there has had to be a reduction in the salaries for people on the staff because of the situation. But I had a meeting to put people in the picture and I sense a little bit of relief."
Meanwhile, striker Danny Cadamarteri is again being targeted by Leeds. A move to Rotherham would seem to be off after a proposed takeover at the club collapsed.
