Keighley's third win in a row hoisted them to fifth place in Yorkshire Division One after a mid-winter slump had seen them slide into the danger zone.
The South Yorkshire visitors battled gamely, however, and it was not until the last quarter that Keighley were able to take real control.
Wing man David Marsden gave Dinnington an early lead with a penalty goal and, with the visitors en-joying a monopoly of possession, Keighley's chances were few.
They took the lead, however, when full back Matt-hew Cox glided through to the line after good work by No 8 Peter Schofield following a scrum 25 metres out.
Fly half Richard Caven-der increased the lead with a well-taken second-half drop goal.
Then, as Keighley's forwards began to dominate, skipper Rob Riley was bundled over for a try following a five-metre line out to complete the scoring.
