Farsley Celtic 1

Spennymoor United 1

Farsley manager Lee Sinnott gave his players a tongue-lashing at half-time as lowly Spennymoor came close to causing a big upset.

The Premier Division strugglers went in at the break a goal up after Danny Brunskill took advantage of Farsley defenders switching off inside the area to fire home.

Sinnott admitted he was not a happy man after seeing his side go behind for the fifth time in the last six games.

"At half-time I told them the performance was well below what we are capable of.

"We were too sloppy in the first 20 minutes, and while there was an improvement in the second half, it is hard to pull things back when you consistently fall behind.

"At home this season, teams have been putting ten players behind the ball and asking us to break them down, and on Saturday we went to sleep and got hit on the counter-attack.

"We need to address the problem and re-focus. If we are to achieve our goal of promotion we must get our house back in order."

Michael Midwood rescued a point for Farsley in the 72nd minute after good work by Rodney Rowe.

Rowe won a shoulder-to-shoulder challenge inside the area and cut the ball back for Midwood to tuck home - the point cutting the deficit to 11 behind leaders Workington with two games in hand.
