Bradford Salem's players won't need any extra motivation before their Yorkshire Division Two clash at Pocklington tomorrow.

Second-placed Salem visit a club who are only a place below, and if Pocklington triumph, the sides will only be separated by points difference.

"It is a must-win game," says Salem centre Neil Klenk, "and we don't need reminding how important it is if we want to play at a higher level next season.

"We won 19-13 at home to Pocklington, but it wasn't as close as that sounds. It was a comfortable win until we suffered a late lapse."

Unfortunately, Salem are going into tomorrow's game without their first-choice centres Steve McManus and Damien Cope.

McManus is unavailable and Cope is resting his troublesome groin so in come Klenk and Jonathan Jacobs, who has just returned to Shay Lane from South Africa.

Otley will have to upset the National League One apple cart if they are to triumph at leaders Exeter.

The Cross Greeners have lost all seven of their clashes at the County Ground, and have only won three out of 14 in all, but they are fourth in the table themselves behind Plymouth Albion and Bristol.

Otley name the same 22 as won 20-17 at sixth-placed Penzance and Newlyn last Saturday, which means they are still without injured trio Glen Wilson, Paul Williams and Ed Thorpe.

Bradford and Bingley coach Geoff Wappett is looking forward to seeing his side play on the sand-based pitch at Fylde in National League Three.

He said: "Joey Nau, Joe Simpson and many of the lads like a firm footing and we should get that tomorrow. Our pitch is in good nick, but it has been very wet."

The only selection problem for the Bees is the usual one - whether to risk centre Stuart Dixon's dodgy hamstring.

Meanwhile, Cleckheaton's bid for a nap hand of victories in the same division will be severely tested at New Brighton.

The hosts have won two and drawn two over the same period, but the visitors will be without dual-code international John Bentley, and are still missing the versatile Glenn Boyd.

Cleckheaton Sports Club chairman Alan Bentley said: "Apart from Halifax, New Brighton were the best team we faced in the first half of the season."

Keighley will make another attempt to play their Yorkshire Division One derby at Yarnbury after last Saturday's match was postponed because of a waterlogged pitch.

The visitors recall Paul Sinfield to the front row, his seniority giving him the nod over Ollie Sugden, who drops to the bench.

Wibsey second row Tim Bull may have to drop out of their re-arranged home derby against Wharfedale Rams in Yorkshire Division Five North West. His wife is expecting their second child anytime. Mark Carter is at No 8, while Bull has replaced Mark's brother Neil.

Matt Haddock makes a welcome return to the bench, having been out since the first game of last season with a thumb injury. Keeping him company on the bench is prop Paul Garside.
