Loose forward Brett Ferres has been named in Brian Noble's 20-man squad to face London Broncos on Sunday, replacing Matt Cook as the only change from the squad that defeated Wigan last Friday night.

Ferres has been brought in as cover for Lee Radford, who has been struggling with a slight groin strain suffered against Wigan.

A punishing defender, 19-year-old Ferres impressed in pre-season and scored a try for the senior academy in mid-week, but is yet to make a Super League appearance for the club.

After stinking out Odsal with a woeful performance in front of over 15,000 people in the season-opening defeat by Wakefield, a good home display is vital for the club's hopes of lifting attendances this season.

A red-hot London, coming off a 72-8 thrashing of Wakefield, might not seem the ideal opponents, but Noble is happy to be facing the Broncos on Sunday.

"This is just the fixture we need because we know it is going to be tough," said Noble.

"It is important for ourselves as well as the crowd to play well. We understand the fans' disappointment that we didn't play well over the first few weeks but the players showed against Wigan that they are committed to the cause. We just need to be a bit smarter with the ball.
