Skipton Bulldogs 2, Oxenhope 5 - Oxenhope Rec moved ominously into second place in the Craven Premier League and now have leaders Gargrave firmly in their sights.
Oxenhope started brightly and took the lead when veteran striker Simon Knaggs headed home. Bulldogs equalised on the half hour mark when their top marksman McConville lost his marker Burns and fired into the top corner to level the scores.
Five minutes later a good move by Oxenhope was finished off by Nivard Trowers to give them a slender halt time lead.
After half time another good move was finished off by Dan Moriarty to make it 3-1 to the Worth Valley Side.
Bulldogs threw their substitutes on in a final attempt to get something out of the game and this paid off after 75 minutes when one of them fired low into the bottom corner to make it 3-2.
Oxenhope then made three changes bringing off David Collier, Knaggs and Richard Ellis and bringing on Chris Newman, Ben White and Steve Davies.
The changes paid off and new signing Chris Newman opened his account as he scrambled the ball home from a cross to make it 4-2.
Oxenhope were not finished and the goal of the game came after Newman held the ball up and laid it off to Ben White who hit a screamer from 25 yards which gave the Bulldogs' keeper no chance as it nestled in the top corner.
Oxenhope meet third place Embsay this week in what is a massive game and could have a big say in where the championship ends up this season.
