Wibsey gave their chances of winning the Mumtaz Premier Division a mighty boost on Saturday.
While they were thrashing bottom- placed Steeton 7-2 in Keighley, second- placed Golcar United were losing at Huddersfield rivals Bay Athletic.
Steeton who are struggling to survive in the top flight, matched the leaders in the first half and were unfortunate to be 2-1 behind at the interval.
Adam Smith, who had scored for Steeton in the first half, put his team-mates under enormous pressure after the break when he was sent off for swearing at the referee. Wibsey took full advantage with John Penn completing his hat-trick to add to two goals from Damian Melvin and strikes from Mick Burke and Andy Atkinson.
Bay Athletic, who were also reduced to ten players in the second half, scored twice through Steve Perrin and Freddie McGillvery to beat Golcar 2-0.
Campion conceded their first double of the season when visitors Hemsworth Miners Welfare - with goals from Andy Davies (2) and James Page - ran out comfortable 3-0 winners.
Otley Town continued their revival with a 3-1 success at Ovenden West Riding. Like Steeton and Bay, Ovenden had to play with only ten players when Karl Cochrane was sent off for handling the ball on the goalline. Mark Long scored from the penalty spot before Dean Wagstaff chipped in with a couple of goals for Otley. Ryan Brook replied for Ovenden.
Leading 1-0 at half-time, thanks to a Shaun Walsh penalty, Brighouse Town collapsed in the second half and were defeated 3-1 at Ardsley Celtic.
Eastmoor, who lead the way in Division Two, were lucky to return home with a point after their visit to Westwood ended at 1-1. Leading 1-0 at half-time with a Craig McGuire effort, Eastmoor failed to capitalise in the second period and an equaliser from John Hart was no more than Westwood deserved.
Eastmoor stay ten points in front of Farnley, who lost 2-0 at Wakefield City, followed by Altofts, who beat Halifax Irish
1-0, a further five points adrift.
Two goals from Mark Burnham for Salts proved fruitless as visitors Lower Hopton went home with the points after winning 3-2.
South Bradford missed out on three valuable points towards promotion when Jamie McEwen, the league's leading scorer, missed a second-half penalty against leaders Kirkburton. Trailing 1-0 at the break to a Carl Wooller goal, South Bradford were brought back on level terms through Chris McMahon.
