The Bulls may have gone up

another gear against London but they are still some way away from being able to compete with the likes of St Helens and Leeds, says club captain Robbie Paul.

Sunday's 48-22 victory marked a personal return to form for Paul, who scored a try and terrorised London with his incisive dummy-half running - but he is far from satisfied.

"There are still so many things for us to improve on," he said.

"Our offence took a step forward but defensively and discipline-wise we are still letting ourselves down. We are still making mistakes and then giving away dumb penalties. If we go up against Leeds and St Helens and play like that it is going to be tough for us.

"There was a lot of what we saw in the last ten minutes against Wigan out there against London. For 50 or 60 minutes we looked completely dominant and were going forward. That is the key to us getting back to our best form and we are starting to pick things up at the right time."

The Bulls should continue to

climb the Super League table

when they travel to winless Leigh on Friday night but Paul insists there will be no room for

complacency.

"I know everyone is writing Leigh off but that is dangerous. They are at the point now where they have to prove themselves and get a win."

As for his personal form, Paul is over arm and ankle troubles that hindered him last season but admits he is still coming to terms with the physical demands of playing hooker.

"I enjoyed it out there against London. I picked up a few bumps and bruises but we are not playing tiddlywinks."
