ENGLAND international karate exponent Paul Newby organised a second tournament for his Burley-in-Wharfedale based Wharfedale Warriors club at Burley and Woodhead School.
The club has a new logo - Wharfedale Warriors - Olympic Dream as instructor Paul - a world champion - has been involved in a televised campaign to get karate included in the Olympic Games.
Results of the tournament were:

Senior kata - 1, Matthew Jones; 2, Stuart Raw; 3, Joseph Dalzell and James Farrington.
Team kata - 1, Luke Kenna, Bronte Duxbury and Ben Ullock; 2, Eddie Thomas Ashley Beel and Emily Spears; 3, Thomas Turner, Bradley Cox and Jeremy Whitehead; and Anna Ross, Beth Ruddock, Simon Wood and Ella Sturrock.
Fighting 5,6 and 7 yrs - 1, Anna Ross; 2, Ella Sturrock; 3, Eddie Thomas and Katie Dalzell.
8-9 yrs - 1, Harry Hawcroft; Ross McMillan; 3, Joshua Stevens and Freddie Mason.

The Best Competitor of the Day was five year-old yellow belt Eddie Thomas.
Paul Newby's signed England polo shirt was raffled and raised £70 for the Tsunami Appeal.
