DIVISION ONE CUP

Semi-Finals First Leg

Keighley United 8

Eastwood Tavern 0

Tavern were deservedly beaten by eight goals without reply in a scoreline which looked more like a two-match aggregate.

Ian Dade was Tavern's man of the match, and they need a miracle in the second leg.

Cavendish Hotel 1

Cullingworth George 3

George had conceded 12 goals in their previous two meetings with Cavendish, but they were able to field a full team for the first time in three months.

In an evenly fought first half George edged a 1-0 lead after 15 minutes with a cracking shot from Anthony Scott. Cavendis conceded a penalty and Gareth Marshall made no mistake with the spot kick. Cullingworth's goalkeeper was injured and Cavendish pulled one back to make it 2-1 at half time.

Marshall scored the only goal of the second half, and Paul Armitage was man of the match for Cullingworth.

League Division One

BCA 2

Silsden Town 2

BCA, who are getting used to playing with only 10 men, battled well and deserved a share of the points.

In the second half Silsden started to dominate possession and Liam Swain headed them in front. BCA never gave up battling and deserved their equaliser.
