Steeton 2, Wibsey 7 - Steeton's quest for survival in the County Amateur Premier Division took a further blow when they were beaten at home by Wibsey.

Despite going two goals down they were playing some good football and when Adam Smith reduced the deficit before half time it looked as if Steeton might be able to get something out of the game.

However, as the second half progressed, it was Wibsey who began to take control and coupled with a couple of strange refereeing decisions, one of which lead to Smith receiving his marching orders, it was the league leaders who increased their lead.

The Summerhill Lane outfit lost key defenders Jon Best and Danny Head through injuries and this left them vulnerable at the back and Wibsey were quick to take advantage and raced into a 5-1 lead.

Despite a Stevie Barker strike Steeton didn't have much to cheer about in the second half and their misery was compounded when Wibsey struck a couple of late goals to put an unfair slant on the scoreline.

Keighley Shamrocks collected another three points from their 2-1 victory over Littletown in Division One.

All the goals were scored in the first half with Tony Cooper and Joe Brady on target for the home side while a Steve batley strike kept Littletown in touch.

Shammies survived a spirited attempt by the visitors to get back on level terms in the second half.

Shamrocks reserves came unstuck at Lower Hopton where they were beaten 3-1. They were 1-0 down at half time and although Will Burgess scored for the Shamrocks Hopton went on to score two more and complete a 3-1 victory.
