LEE McGOWAN sent Silsden on their way to the final of the West Riding FA Junior Cup.
His brilliant second half header cancelled out an early goal from their Craven Junior League rivals Sandy Lane.
Silsden 'old boy' John Butcher had given Lane a 1-0 lead at half time. McGowan's goal was the only score of the second half and ensured thegame went into extra time.
The young Cobbydale side began to turn on the style as they began the extra period and hard working Sam Dowgill put them into the lead.
Thomas McLean followed up with two well taken goals to make certain of the 4-1 victory in a superb team effort.
Dowgill was named Silsden's man of the match and he was backed up by top perfomances from Hamish Munro, Ross Croad and goalkeeper Dean Hnderson.
The final is to be played at the FA's Woodlesford ground on Friday, march 22, when Silsden play Knaresborough Celtic or Pudsey Juniors, who play their semi-final tonight (Friday).
