Lesley Vainikolo should recover from his hamstring strain in time to face Hull FC tomorrow but full back Mick Withers is still out with a knee injury and has not been named in Brian Noble's 20-man squad.

Withers has almost recovered from the medial ligament strain he

suffered against Wigan in his only outing of the season and could return next Thursday night against Leeds.

However, given his recent injury history, his comeback is being managed with caution.

"If we roll the dice and bring him back too early we might end up losing him for a lot longer," said Noble. "It was a freak injury he picked up trying to pull off a try-saving tackle against Wigan. We just have to be patient."

Karl Pratt has recovered from the virus that kept him out of last week's victory over Leigh and should take his place in the 17, coming in for injured wing Andy Smith (hamstring).

Untried duo Brett Ferres and Matt Cook are once again in Noble's squad but are unlikely to see their first taste of Super League action against third-placed Hull.

"I have been really impressed with the likes of Brett Ferres and Matt Cook and even Ryan Atkins," said Noble.

"They have been going well and we need to find them all an opportunity. Whether that is in these games coming up or further down the track, we'll have to see."

Hull have included New Zealand Test veteran Stephen Kearney for the first time, with coach John Kear confirming he will make his Super League bow tomorrow.

Bradford (20-man squad): Ferres, Deacon, Cook, Fielden, Harris, Johnson, Langley, Lynch, Meyers, Parker, Paul, Peacock, Pratt, K Pryce, L Pryce, Radford, Reardon, Smith, Vagana, Vainikolo.
