Runcorn FC Halton are still playing their home games at the Halton Stadium they share with Widnes Rugby League club, despite rumours to the contrary, so Avenue will be there tomorrow.

The Cheshire club have missed two home fixtures following a dispute with their local council and there was talk of an alternative venue. But a decision to allow the game to go ahead has been reached.

There are still issues with the club and local authorities to be settled that could yet affect Runcorn's status in the Conference North.

That could mean only the bottom two clubs being relegated. Avenue cannot count on that scenario so have to look for maximum points against Runcorn to keep alive their hopes of ending the campaign outside the bottom three.

"We will go there aiming for a win, as we do in every game, and we have the chance of getting the three points," said Bradford manager Carl Shutt after Wednesday's home defeat to Worcester City.

"The only thing I would ask for is a full squad to choose from. We had a good win over Lancaster last Saturday but then lost five players for the midweek game against Worcester."

Stephen Oleksewycz, the leading scorer with 11 goals, and on-loan Bantams striker Danny Ekoku were both in hospital between Saturday and Wednesday.

Michael Naylor, Ryan Crossley and Paddy Mumbly were also ruled out.

"Most of them are niggly little problems so I hope to have them back in the squad and if they are we will have a good opportunity to get another three points."

Avenue are just one place off the foot of the table while Runcorn are fourth bottom so it is still a genuine six-pointer.

The Cheshire side may survive in the division despite their off field problems - and that is something Avenue must use as a spur.
