Victoria Rangers' fantastic run in the Bradford & District Senior Cup continued when they beat First Division side Queensbridge 2-1 in the quarter-finals.

Queensbridge led by a penalty until Sean Firth equalised from the spot for the Division 1A side.

Ray Gartlan put Vics into the last four with a killer second goal. Next up will be National Sunday Cup finalists Albion Sports.

Jimmy Spencer followed up his recent four-goal haul for Bolton Woods with his team's last three in their 6-1 win over Wibsey WMC.

Woods will play Queensbury in the other semi-final.

Wibsey played well for the opening half hour but once Woods got into their stride they were never in the hunt.

Dominic Quinn had a hand in the opening goal for Tariq Hussain, Paul Bulgin beat the offside for a second before Quinn increased the lead to 3-0.

Spencer sealed victory with a quickfire hat-trick before Sean Regan took advantage of a defensive hesitation for Wibsey's consolation goal.

Queensbury opened up a quick 3-0 lead at Buttershaw White Star and never looked back, winning 4-1.

Defender John Brown was man of the match and there was another useful performance from a fit-again Steve Blackett.

There was a pleasing result for Wyke Wanderers in the Premier Division.

They were forced to include half-a-dozen 16-year-olds in their visit to Oakenshaw.

Defending well in the first half, Wyke grew in confidence and got a deserved second-half winner from Steve House.

With leaders Albion Sports in cup action, defending champions Fairweather Green failed to take any advantage, going down to goals from Mark Meehan and Andy Whiteley in a 2-1 defeat at Holme Wood.

Mark Naylor hit a hat-trick, including a spectacular second from 25 yards, and keeper Chris Ransom had a blinder in Clayton Orient's 4-1 First Division win over Westwood, in a game which could have easily finished 8-8.

Chellow beat Idle 6-0, while the other side in the promotion race, West Bowling, had to settle for a point after nearly losing all three against Ring O Bells.

Bowling went in front from a long throw which John Ellis put away. Bells levelled through a John Gateley penalty and then went in front from a James Morgan penalty on 80 minutes, only to be foiled by a late equaliser on 89 minutes by Damien Melvin.

While unbeaten Vics were in cup action, Ventus Sports stayed in the promotion race in Division 1A with a 4-1 win over Baildon Trinity.

Queensbury Reserves did both Vics and Ventus a good turn by drawing 0-0 at Silsden, the third team in the title race.

In the Supplementary Cup, Hudson were trailing 1-0 and 3-1 but pulled it back to 3-3 against QCs - Dave Elvidge scoring twice, once from the spot, and Justin Steele grabbing the equaliser.

With Division 1B leaders Eccleshill not playing, White Eagles, who can take the title if they win their remaining games, were 2-0 winners away to Wibsey WMC Reserves.

Keeper Neil Barratt did well with three crucial saves and goals came from Liam Dolan, a 30-yard screamer, and a Chris Ndukuba penalty.

A goal down in the first half, Bradford Park Avenue Rangers got it together in the second half to reel off a 4-1 win at Bradford Moor. Recent signing Dean Loutch was one of the scorers. Michael Ferguson's two goals gave Royal Clayton a 2-1 win over Chellow Reserves while manager Richard Dakin was forced to take the whistle in his side's 2-2 draw with Dudley Hill Rangers Reserves.

In the semi-final of the Bradford & District Cup, Division Four side Buttershaw OA played Division 3A side Holmewood Athletic and gave a spirited performance, matching their higher division opponents for the majority of the match.

Holmewood took an early lead and were in front throughout, but Buttershaw had their chances.

A goal from John Moulden in the last minute finally finished the lower division team's hopes.
