VIEWERS tuning into top ITV1 drama Footballers' Wives on Thursday can expect to see home-grown talent, Elaine Glover.
Twenty-two-year-old Elaine, who is from Skipton, plays an au pair who looks after Tanya and Conrad's baby. She is a good time girl who becomes the victim of a brutal rape.
The former Aireville School pupil stars in five episodes of the fourth series of the racy TV show.
She has not seen any sneak previews of the finished series and instead will be watching her debut performance at the same time as the rest of the country.
"I have seen the advert and that was when it all started to sink in that it's really happening," she told the Herald.
Elaine landed the TV role only weeks after leaving drama school, beating off hundreds of other hopefuls.
She said even though her life was somewhat "crazy" at the moment she had loved the experience. "It was absolutely amazing, it has been out of this world," she said.
The day after the Footballers' Wives series kicks off on television, she is scheduled to start filming scenes for an ITV2 spin-off, Footballers' Wives - Extra Time. It is set to be aired when Footballers' Wives ends in the spring. Elaine is keeping her fingers crossed that her TV appearance will lead to other roles.
"If anything comes from it that would fantastic, but you never know in this business," she said. "I am just loving it and having the best time and making sure I enjoy it."
Watching back home in Skipton will be Elaine's mum, Val.
"She's told me what to expect and all the family are aware of what's going on and what to expect so I am not worried about it. I know it's all part of the job," she told the Herald.
