Riddlesden could join Oakworth in becoming an urban village under Bradford Council plans due to be approved next week.
The designation could bring extra facilities to the community for youth activities, road safety, crime-fighting and environment.
Residents will draw up an action plan setting out priorities for Riddlesden over the next few years.
The plan would be used by the council and other agencies in deciding how to deliver services to the area.
Oakworth was one of seven areas across the district originally designated urban villages.
They were chosen because they were neither inner-city nor rural, meaning they were unable to access significant regeneration funding.
The designation has since led to village clean-ups, traffic calming measures, a reduction in anti-social behaviour and more activities for youngsters.
The areas are benefiting from £1.22 million ploughed into the urban village scheme by Bradford Council and the Neighbourhood Renewal Fund
Riddlesden has now been nominated, alongside Wibsey, Heaton and Low Moor.
It is set to be approved by the council's ruling executive on Tuesday.
Councillor Kris Hopkins, the council's deputy leader, said the seven pilot schemes had been a huge success.
He said: "The urban village initiative is a golden opportunity for residents to influence what goes on in their community.
"Hopefully, people in Riddlesden will really get involved and come up with plenty of exciting ideas to improve their neighbourhood."
