YOUNG footballers throughout the Keighley area are working to put Bradford City back in the big time - with local players stars of the show.

The Valley Parade club is working to develop home grown talent and Keighley's Marley Stadium is one of the main centres for spotting and nurturing promising young players.

Boys from Under-6 to Under-12 are taking part in a series of six week development sessions with the most promising players going on to progress further with the profressional club and even those who are released are monitored throughout their youth careers in a bid to stop developing talent slipping through the net. Richard Hewitt, of Oakworth Juniors, is co-ordinator of the Development Centre, he is an FA Level 2 coach and a member of the Bradford City recruitment staff.

"Our aim is to make it enjoyable for everyone involved in the development programme," Richard said.
