Talented musicians from a Bingley school are celebrating their success as trophy winners.
Lady Lane Park’s school band triumphed in the Skipton festival for brass playing.
The group of 12 cornet and trumpet players, aged between seven and 12, performed three items before the judges voted.
They defeated three other school bands to clinch the prized top spot.
The band was led to victory by Derek Southcott, a former lead trombonist in the Syd Lawrence Orchestra who toured with artists such as Shirley Bassey, Johnny Mathis, Tom Jones, Tony Christie and Sir Cliff Richard.
