Seven decades’ worth of theatre is up for sale today as Otley Little Theatre reluctantly waves goodbye to part of its history.
Props including cutlasses, typewriters, uniforms and stage sets are being sold off as the theatre attempts to reduce required storage space to a minimum before it loses its base, the Otley Civic Centre, at the end of April.
Chairman Roger Thomas said: “Some of this stuff has been there a long time and for some of us it is quite traumatic getting rid of it but we have no choice.”
