Bingley Fine Food Festival is staged in the market square next Friday and Saturday, from 9am to 5pm, with dozens of stalls offering quality produce.

There will be fresh meat and fish, vegetables and fruit, home-made breads, jams and preserves, cheeses and confectionery from around the world, all under one giant marquee.

When you are all shopped out, you can enjoy a refreshing drink from the bar, sit back and soak up the atmosphere, and watch the artistic and intricate fruit carvings provided by Chino Thai restaurant.

There are plenty of Easter-themed events taking place around the district.

From Good Friday to Easter Monday, East Riddlesden Hall has an Easter egg trail for families, with a reward for those taking part.On Easter Monday, you can take part in an Easter egg hunt at Harold Park, Low Moor, from 11am to 1pm.

There’s the fifth Great Egg Roll at Cliffe Castle Museum, Keighley, on Tuesday, April 6. Take along a raw hen’s egg, decorate and then take part in the roll.

There are prizes for the best decorated egg and the furthest unbroken roll.

There’s medieval jousting in a Sword Of Honour event at the Royal Armouries Museum in Leeds over the Easter bank holiday weekend.

Knight Skool – action-packed sessions for youngsters aged five to 12 – also takes place over the weekend at a cost of £3 per child.

Younger members of the family and the young at heart will enjoy a visit by Thomas the Tank Engine and his friends to Embsay and Bolton Abbey Steam Railway over the Easter bank holiday weekend.

The event, on the line which runs between Bolton Abbey station and Embsay station, is on from Good Friday to Easter Sunday from 10am to 4.30pm.

Have some fun over the Easter weekend with the annual Ilkley Treasure Trail. You can collect an entry form from the Tourist Information Centre in Station Road, where the trail begins and ends.

You will be led on a pleasant stroll to White Wells and back, which is about a mile-and-a-half.

Answer the questions, hand in your completed entry at the centre, and the first correct entry drawn out of the box on Tuesday, April 6, will win a prize.
