Bradford’s housing group Incommunities has been given £770,000 to transform Menston Hall into homes.
Money from the Homes and Communities Agency will go towards converting the main hall and constructing two new blocks.
Bradford Council planners approved the development plans in February which will include the demolition of the hall’s 1960s-built extension.
Menston Hall was last used to provide sheltered accommod-ation for older people but has been empty for more than a year. Geraldine Howley (pictured), Incommunities group chief executive, said: “I am absolutely delighted that we have secured Kickstart funding to enable work to start on bringing this historic building back into use.”
