When budding entrepreneurs at Tong School came up with a good business idea the school was so quick to label it a success they funded it.
A group of Year Nine pupils took up a design and produce challenge and ended up with stickers to decorate mobile phones.
Called Skimit, the colourful and patterned sticky labels are all the rage among pupils at Tong and there are now plans to sell them out of school too.
One of the selling points is that the stickers can be put on and peeled off phones without leaving any marks so they are easy to swap and change.
The youngsters who had to do a Dragon’s Den-style pitch were entering their product in a Government-backed enterprise competition this week.
Teacher Joanne Trayer said: “Once they got the idea, they stuck to it – literally. They’ve worked well as a team and hopefully will impress the competition judges.”
