A masked flasher who exposed himself to teenage girls could be a public danger, a Court heard today.

Sentence on Gary Mawson was adjourned until April 29 at Bradford Crown Court for the preparation of a psychiatric report. Mawson was remanded back into custody.

His barrister, Katherine Robinson, said there would be no application for bail.

Judge Scott Wolstenholme told Mawson that time spent on remand would count towards the length of any prison sentence.

Mawson, 30, of Woolcomb Court, Heaton, Bradford, feared his behaviour was addictive, Bingley magistrates heard last month. He admitted exposing himself to two teenage girls and sexually touching a 14-year-old.

Mawson was wearing a mask when he emerged from a bush in Burley-in-Wharfedale to expose himself to the girls. He was arrested after being recognised on CCTV.

Mawson pleaded guilty to indecently exposing himself on four occasions in Burley-in-Wharfedale – on November 7, December 23 and December 28 last year and January 26 this year. He also admitted intentionally touching a girl, 14, and assaulting a girl by beating in the village on January 9.

Magistrates heard Mawson exposed himself in a communal garden and at Burley-in-Wharfedale rail station.
