Two Shipley chefs will wear their whites as they walk 127.5 miles along the canal from Leeds to Liverpool to raise money for a children’s charity.
Matthew Gabbitas and Peter James Nicholson-Brown, of the Wrose Bull Hotel, are raising funds for the Little Heroes cancer charity and plan to complete the challenge in 48 hours.
Mr Gabbitas said: “We both have young children and know families that have been affected by cancer, so it’s something that’s close to our hearts.
“It seems impossible, but that’s what’s giving us the most motivation, we want to prove we can do it.”
The pair have been training for four months. They will set off on Saturday, April 3, at 6am and hope to be back at the pub by midday the following Monday for a well earned rest.
