Students from Guiseley will be helping out in schools and orphanages in Ecuador as part of a four-week trip this summer.

The 13-strong group from Guiseley School, which includes a teacher, will travel to Ecuador in July to carry out voluntary work and to take part in activities including a volcano trek and a rainforest trek.

The students will all be taking part in a World Challenge trip which will see them teaching in schools as well as undertaking building work at schools and orphanages.

Now the students are busy raising £3,600 each of them will need to take part.

Sebastian Francis, 19, said: “As well as our volunteer work we will be taking part in three different challenging treks.’’ Anyone who wants to sponsor the group can call 0785 271 4026 or e-mail seb_999@hotmail.co.uk.
