Organisers of a business awards are seeking sponsors for the event.

An event will be held in Bradford to drum up backing for this year’s Yorkshire Biz Awards, which honour firms who have succeeded despite adversity.

Among those attending the sponsors’ event at the Great Victoria hotel will be Graham and Sharyn Morley, of the 2009 business of the year Fresh Pastures which increased turnover by £1 million after winning the award.

Awards founder Stephen Waud, who heads the Bradford Enterprise Fund, will speak at the event tomorrow along with Andy Cullwick of Bradford Chamber of Commerce.

Meg Heath, of Bradford Enterprise Fund, said: “As the region’s only celebration of SMEs triumphing over adversity, we are calling for sponsors to not only ensure the awards live on but to allow us to continue recognising entrepreneurs who have succeeded against the odds.”
