Drama students devised their own play to kill off the competition at a regional event.
Grant Holmes and Danny Gustafson wrote a script based on the board game Cluedo and performed it with pupils from Performance Drama School to win the devised drama section at the Robertshaw Festival.
The school’s eight to ten-year-olds performed an excerpt from Roald Dahl’s Matilda to scoop top prize in the group drama section.
The school’s director, Sue Hughes, who started lessons in her own home and now teaches 200 students in Burley-in-Wharfedale and Otley, said: “We are so proud of them.”
