More than 35 original etchings by David Hockney will be on display and for sale during a new exhibition in Saltaire.

Art lovers will have a rare chance to buy work by the celebrated artist, who was born and educated in Bradford.

The drawings are from his Grimm’s Fairy Tales suite, printed in 1969.

The exhibition will be staged at Victoria Hall from Thursday, April 8, to Saturday, April 10, from 11am to 6pm.

Exhibition organiser Marc Goldmark said: “Hockney was born in Bradford in 1937 and has since become the most successful British artist of his generation.

“These images are exuberant, inventive and memorable, and he now considers them to be one of his major successes.”

The artworks to feature are priced from £400.
