She taught the world to sing with the New Seekers, and now she’s at Bradford’s Alhambra Theatre to perform in Blood Brothers – bringing her son with her.
Lyn Paul (pictured), who came to fame in the early 1970s as a singer takes the lead role of Mrs Johnstone in Willy Russell’s hit musical this week.
It marks a return to the city for Lyn, who was last in Bradford a few years ago with Footloose The Musical.
“The Alhambra’s a gorgeous old theatre, well-looked after and fabulous to come back to,” she said.
And she is doubly delighted because her 20-year-old son Ryan will be with her – working on the lighting. “To know it’s my son who’s lighting me is an absolute joy,” she says.
Blood Brothers is on until Saturday. For tickets, call the box office on (01274) 432000.
