Schoolchildren were under starters orders as they helped unveil the new half-marathon Bradford City Run.
A group of 120 pupils at Heaton St Barnabas Primary School stood in formation to create the logo for the 13.2-mile run at its finish line in Lister Park.
The half-marathon will be held on October 17 and includes a 5km fun run and two children’s races of 3km and 1km. It follows on from the success of a similar ten-mile event last year.
The main race will start in Centenary Square, and take in Thornton and Denholme, before going up to Sandy Lane, ending in Lister Park, Manningham.
Gill Evans, head teacher at Heaton St Barnabas, said: “We were delighted to be involved in the launch of this race, as it also includes children in a family fun 5k race that starts in Lister Park.”
