A network of popular enterprise support centres for new and growing businesses in Bradford is being expanded.

The third Bradford GRID centre will open in Low Moor next week to serve Bradford South.

The enterprise hubs offer business facilities from £15 a month, a range of office services and free wi-fi internet connection.

The new GRID will open on Thursday, March 18, at the Low Moor Business Centre to serve Wibsey, Royds and Wyke, although businesses trading anywhere in the district can join.

Funded by Kickstart, Bradford Council’s enterprise support programme, GRID hubs provide members with a business address, work space, use of computer and presentation equipment, meeting rooms and networking opportunities. Free use of meeting rooms, car parking and refreshments is also available.

Councillor Adrian Naylor, Bradford Council’s executive member for regeneration and economy, said: “Kickstart’s primary role is to create new jobs and safeguard existing ones. “By providing accessible enterprise centres at sensible prices we are helping businesses keep their costs down. As they grow, these businesses will need to recruit, providing jobs for local people.”

The new centre, is larger than those at the Carlisle Business Centre, Manningham and the Park Lane Business Centre, near the city centre. It has conference and meeting space for up to 35 people, fully-equipped presentation rooms and a ‘chill out’ room for informal meetings.

Two full-time staff members, Shelley Tasker, enterprise coach and Olga Savina, GRID Host, will run the centre. For membership information call (07908) 971281 or e-mail shelley. tasker@bradfordgrid.com.
