Students at Carlton Bolling College have been poking fun at the country’s leaders through their own political drama.
The pupils, aged between 12 and 14 , devised the parody at the school’s drama club as a way of exploring politics in the run-up to the general election. Called Liars, Fools And Cheats, the production was written by Year 8 pupil Jonathan Green and features the likes of Gordon Brown and David Cameron as well as Barack Obama and George Bush.
The students also visited London where they were shown around Parliament by Bradford North MP Terry Rooney.
Paul Glover, head of drama at the school, said: “It’s great that students are taking an interest in politics because they are our future voters.”
