A man who was being quizzed by detectives in connection with a serious assault in Keighley has been released on bail.
The 24-year-old has been freed pending further inquiries into the incident, which happened in the early hours of yesterday.
Emergency services were called to North Street at about 3.05am to a report that a 21-year-old man was laying unconscious in the road.
The man was taken to hospital with serious head injuries and is in a poorly but stable condition in Leeds General Infirmary.
Police said the 21-year-old had been injured in a fight in the street following an earlier argument at the nearby K2 nightclub which led to two men being ejected.
