Walkers will be following a route dating back to the Middle Ages to raise funds for a good cause.
Organisers of Calverley’s annual Millennium Walk, sponsored by Calverley Rotary Club, are inviting people to join them on their tenth seven-mile stroll around the village boundaries.
Originally called Beating the Bounds, the walk is on Saturday, May 8.
Sponsorship forms are available from shops and the library, or a donation can be made on the day.
Funds will go to the village’s care homes: Champion House, run by the Leonard Cheshire Disability charity; St Luke’s Nursing Home; The Bungalows and Brookleigh Sheltered Home.
To join the walk, meet at the Calverley Arms’ picnic area at Towngate for an 11am start. For more information, call (0113) 257 4794.
