Plans have been drawn up for a low-speed ‘gateway’ on the road past sports clubs and a recreation area north of the River Wharfe in Ilkley.
Bradford Council officers are proposing lower speed limits on stretches of Denton Road.
Ilkley Parish Council has previously requested a reduced-speed gateway between the open countryside stretch of the road and the residential area around the junction of Denton Road and Middleton Avenue.
This would also reduce the speed of drivers heading past the cricket grounds, East Holmes Field, Ilkley Pool, and Ilkley Rugby Club.
