A lot of mineral water has been supped over the last eight years at The Angel Inn, Hetton, near Skipton.
So much so, that the gastro-pub has raised £50,000 towards Unicef’s clean water and sanitation project in Omo, Ethiopia.
The pledge to give 50p from every bottle sold to diners was started by the late owner, Denis Watkins, and continues today as the Denis Watkins Charitable Trust.
The trust also raises money for other causes such as The Born Free Foundation in Africa and the Helpage International projects in Bolivia, South America, by holding charity dinners.
