A popular preserved railway is set to hold an open day for anyone who is interested in becoming a volunteer.
The Embsay and Bolton Abbey Steam Railway, near Skipton, will open its doors to potential volunteers for a ‘behind-the-scenes’ visit to see what goes on in order to operate the railway.
The event could be of interest to anyone with a desire to become a train guard, ticket clerk or even an engine driver.
There will be a steam train journey to Embsay station, where there will be opportunities to experience the work of all the many varied departments of a heritage railway.
The open day is due to take place on Saturday, March 13.
