A guitarist has seen off competition with his musical talents to win a place in a newly-formed band.
Ilkley’s Robert Davies won a Leeds competition that saw people with learning disabilities travel from far and wide to secure a place in band The Outsiders.
They will perform at top Leeds venues next month.
Robert, who has Down’s syndrome, uses Bradford District Care Trust’s Ilkley supported accommodation. The assistant manager, Dr Yvonne Smith, said: “Everybody here is proud of Robert’s achievement.’’
