A police box burned down by arsonists last summer has been rebuilt to serve the residents of Holme Wood, Bradford.
The contact point, in Broadstone Way, Holme Wood, was unveiled today by Bradford South Divisional Commander Chief Superintendent Alison Rose.
It is one of several Neighbourhood Policing Team contact points across Bradford which are staffed by police officers, Police Community Support Officers and volunteers.
Inspector Osman Khan – who leads the Tong and Wyke team – said: “Contact points like this one in Holme Wood enable us to have a base in the heart of the communities that we work in. We are determined to be as accessible as possible to people and the contact points are another way of doing this.”
Chief Supt Alison Rose said: “The re-opening of this police box demonstrates that we won’t be beaten.”
