A Baildon jeweller will run the London Marathon to raise funds for the British Heart Foundation (BHF), after his father suffered a heart attack.
Jonathan Stoner has decided to take on the challenge to raise money for the organisation he said was largely responsible for his father’s recovery.
Mr Stoner said his father, who set up Philip Stoner Jeweller in 1982, is now living a “very normal life” and that is largely because of the work of the BHF.
Mr Stoner has been training for the marathon challenge by running more than 50 miles a week.
He said: “The race is now only a few weeks away and the enormity of the task is starting to dawn on me. I’m sure the race will hurt but I will be spurred on knowing my dad and wife, Helen, will be cheering me on.”
