Proud pupils made a special visit to Bingley’s new £13m health centre to see their artwork on display.
Canalside Healthcare Centre, Kingsway, is now home to the work of the students from Beckfoot School, Bingley, as part of a project led by Artworks Creative Communities and Kala Sangam.
Anni Allsuch, graphic design teacher at the school said: “Young people’s art and design work is often dismissed, but this piece has shown how professional they can be. The students learnt a lot about partnership working and dealing with client’s wishes. We are all proud of the design.”
Three watercolour paintings by the late Frederick Charles Collins, a well known local artist who died in 1933, have also been donated to the health centre by his grandson John Edmonds.
Other artworks include a striking steel archway, designed by Dan Savage for the entranceway.
