Classical girl band The Sopranos are heading for Bradford.
The glamorous band will be accompanied by a full symphony sound provided by New Zealand’s Wellington Sinfonia and all-girl string quartet The Glamrocks.
The Sopranos will be delivering a range of styles and will pay homage to some of the world’s greatest divas such as Judy Garland, Barbra Streisand, Shirley Bassey and Celine Dion.
The eight singers, aged between 21 and 40, perform classics from the world of opera, contemporary rock, and Broadway. They even plan to treat audiences to some ‘full-throttle rock’.
The Sopranos are Roimata Templeton, Rhianydd Beaumont, Helen Power, Lisa Bridge, Elizabeth Atkinson, Katie Murray, Rebecca Moore and 23-year-old Kathryn Pemberton, from Ripponden, who trained at the London School of Musical Theatre.
The Sopranos are at St George’s Hall on Saturday, March 27. For tickets, ring (01274) 432000.
