A project to transform an area of neglected land into a green spot for growing food and enjoying the outdoors has been launched in Fagley.
Residents have started to transform Beaumont Park with members of Fagley Youth and Community Centre which lies next to the field. Residents were invited to find out more about the scheme which will see raised growing beds and polytunnels built to allow people to grow their own food, plus an outdoor classroom, sensory garden and walking paths.
Children have been helping develop the park plan by building a model, which was on display at the Let’s Get Fagley Growing event, with play activities for children, football sessions, face painting, information stalls and refreshments.
