People in Guiseley are being invited to share their views about a possible merger of the town’s conservation areas.
The town has two conservation areas – Guiseley Town Gate and Guiseley Park Gate – which could be merged into a single Guiseley Conservation Area.
A draft appraisal is now available for public consultation.
Councillor Andrew Carter, Council leader and executive board member with responsibility for development, said: “It is important we are able to safeguard the special architectural nature, historic character and environment of Guiseley, and protect its important buildings.
“The best way for us to do this is by updating its conservation areas.”
More information is available on the Leeds City Council website or at an exhibition at Guiseley Library until Friday, March 19. There will be a public meeting at Aireborough Leisure Centre on Saturday, March 13, at 2pm.
