A new public inquiry into the building of a housing estate is to take place next month.
It will be the second time developer Muir Group Housing has appealed to the Planning Inspectorate against Craven District Council’s refusal of permission for the homes at Glusburn, near Skipton.
The Council refused permission in July 2008 and again four months later for an identical application because of its impact of the development on the character of the area.
An appeal to the Planning Inspectorate was dismissed in February last year, but the decision was overturned in the High Court, clearing the way for another appeal.
The inquiry is due to take place at the council offices in Granville Street, Skipton, on Tuesday, March 16, and Wednesday, March 17, starting at 10am.
