The chairman of Horsforth Civic Society has died at the age of 75.
Bob Shallcroft, who had lived in Horsforth for 46 years, was involved in local issues.
As well as being the civic society chairman, he was on the committee for Horsforth in Bloom and advised Horsforth Town Council on planning issues.
Mr Shallcroft, a lecturer at Park Lane College until his retirement, had also been a magistrate.
He had been married to Mary for 51 years and leaves two sons and two grandsons.
His funeral will be on Tuesday at Rawdon Crematorium at 11.40am.
