A 69-year-old woman was dragged to the ground during an attempted robbery in Bradford.
The incident occurred at about 8.35pm last night in St Paul’s Avenue, Wibsey.
The victim had been travelling on the number 508 bus from Stanley, Leeds, travelling towards Bradford.
She got off at Halifax Road, Bradford, and walked along to St Paul’s Avenue where she was approached from behind by a man who grabbed hold of her handbag and tried to take it from her.
As the victim held on to the bag she was dragged to the ground and the man fled empty handed on foot in the direction of Halifax Road.
The suspect was of a slim build, aged between 17 and 20 and between 5ft 5in and 5ft 6in.
He was wearing a dark hooded jacket and dark bottoms.
