Bradford College has signed a formal charter to reinforce its commitment to gender equality.
It has joined six other colleges in Yorkshire in putting its name to the CEO Charter, introduced by the UK Resource Centre for Women in Science, Engineering and Technology (UKRC).
The charter was established to create a visible commitment to increase participation of women in education and the workplace.
Bradford College principal Michele Sutton said: “Bradford College has a long history of developing curriculum and supporting women in non-traditional areas such as construction.
"Signing the charter is evidence of our commitment to ensure our female students aspire to be qualified and work in these industries.”
