Glasses will be raised to Saltaire’s Wurlitzer when thousands of real ale fans descend on the village later this month.
The seven-ton historic organ will appear on official souvenir glasses at this year’s Bradford Beer Festival.
Organisers are expecting the three-day event at the Victoria Hall will again pull in the crowds – and the Wurlitzer will be taking centre stage.
Bradford CAMRA (Campaign for Real Ale) chairman Bill Arnold said the festival running from Thursday, February 25, to Saturday, February 27, was bound to be another sell-out.
This year 200 tickets will be kept on the door for the Friday night session on a first come, first served basis.
Mr Arnold said: “If you want to be sure to get in, come early or better still buy a ticket in advance.’’ Beers from all over the UK will be up for supping as well as a selection of foreign brews.
The sessions are on the Thursday from 6pm to 11pm (tickets £2.50) and on Friday from 11.30am to 4.30pm (tickets £1) and 6.30pm to 11pm (tickets £5).
On the Saturday, the festival is open from 11.30am to 4.30pm (tickets £4) and again at 7pm to 11pm (also £4). Ticket prices include a programme and a commemorative glass, except on Friday lunchtime.
Tickets are available from the Corn Dolly & Fighting Cock in Bradford, The Symposium in Idle, The Junction in Baildon, Fannys Ale & Cider House in Saltaire, the Brown Cow in Keighley, Bar T’at at Ilkley and The Grove in Leeds.
